MIDDLE SCHOOL REQUIRED SUMMER READING
The following books are required summer reading for incoming students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
6th GRADE
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
7th GRADE
Far North by Will Hobbs
8th GRADE
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Tangerine by Edward Bloor
Students entering each of these grades for next school year are required to read the titles listed above. Students will be tested on these books by their Literature teachers shortly after returning next school year. The books are available at all public libraries, and are also available for purchase at local book stores, as well as www.amazon.com.
